Sow your seeds directly in the grow box 🌱
Place the peat round at the bottom of the box and add 20 cl of water. Leave the water to absorb for an hour, the peat will increase in volume up to seven times. Be sure to separate the clumps at the end of the process.
Then plant the sunflower seeds 3 cm deep and cover them with peat.
And there you have it, all you have to do is wait for it to grow!
A fascinating process
The sunflower germinates very quickly, in the 2 to 3 days following germination, the shell of the sunflower seed will eventually open completely and fall, revealing 2 small round "leaves": the 4 cotyledons. Depending on the variety sown, your sunflower plants will have a single large flower or several small ones. The swollen stem forms a corolla which opens in early summer. The heart of the flower is tiny at first, then increases in diameter over the summer. Replant it quickly in a large pot just after germination so that it can develop!
