Sage, with its powerful aroma, flavors our prepared dishes such as fish, stuffings, white meats, vegetables and sauces. In addition to being delicious, it also has medicinal properties and repels insects in the vegetable garden.
Sow your seeds directly in the grow box 🌱
Place the peat round at the bottom of the box and add 20 cl of water. Leave the water to absorb for an hour, the peat will increase in volume up to seven times. Be sure to separate the clumps at the end of the process.
Then plant the seeds 1 cm deep and cover them with peat.
And there you have it, all you have to do is wait for it to grow!
When to sow?
You can sow your sage seeds all year round in your box if you have a well-heated and bright room.
You can also sow your sage seeds between March and May, 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost of the winter. They can easily be sown outdoors once the risk of frost has passed.
Most varieties of sage require good exposure to sunlight to germinate. At a constant temperature of 18-21°C, sage seeds typically germinate in 14-30 days.
